I've taken huge risks and giant leaps of faith on my journey through life; from surviving brain surgery as a teenager to receiving a scholarship at a leading dance academy in New York City where I moved to at the tender age of 21 with $600 in my pocket and no job.
I then moved to California where I found my path into the wellness industry through training in Reiki Mastery and Massage Therapy. With over 20 years and 1000+ hours of schooling in the health and wellness industry, I have extensive experience in both one on one sessions utilizing a variety of healing modalities, and private workshops, as well as teaching in several well-known schools. I have also enjoyed a career in hiring, training, and managing a team of over 60 massage therapists for a well-known luxury spa.
My work in the massage industry guided me into seeking further training in leadership, personal accountability, discovering and developing character strengths, and compassionate communication. I continued my education with an ICF-certified coaching program that focused on conflict management, how to help clients develop and maintain deep intimacy in their relationships and how to communicate authentically. I've pursued other studies including the Gottman Method - Levels I & II, Non-Violent Communication - (NVC), Accountable Communication Technology - (ACT), and Imago Dialog to name a few. I also recently completed two levels of Sounbath Training with a Master Practitioner and have added it to my growing repertoire of healing modalities.
For fun and downtime, I enjoy writing and storytelling about the vagaries of daily life with an eye toward the lighter side of things, dancing with wild abandon, playing board games with close friends and shooting my bow in the back canyons while hawks play on updrafts.
All of my training, certifications, and licenses have combined to create a well-rounded education which has allowed me to create customized programs for my clients that encompass healing work on the body, mind, and spirit. I have been blessed with a seeking mind and am continually searching for the next area of study that will contribute to the well-being of my clients.
